History
Crossways is an intriguing and enticing place, abounding with stories, collectables & old world charm. Built in the 1920's, it has played host many (even Sir Robert Menzies!) It was named from the junction of roads that meet at this point - being the main junction to the gold fields of Woods Point and Walhalla as well as the roads travelled by the logging trucks. Marysville was a favourite holiday destination and many mature aged people come back to Crossways & tell us of their wedding receptions, holidays or cabaret in the Ballroom. They are pleasantly surprised to find some things have not changed! A recent "make-over" has recreated the nostalgic warmth & atmosphere of the past, while adding some modern touches and comforts.
